At Southeastern Veterinary Services (SVS), we believe that every animal, big or small, deserves exceptional care delivered with integrity, compassion, and expertise. Founded as a sister company of Community Animal Hospital, our practice was created to extend our family’s legacy of veterinary excellence throughout Cleveland, Tennessee, and the surrounding communities.
Our story begins with Dr. Lane, who established Community Animal Hospital in 1993 as a locally owned and family-operated practice. With a passion for animal health and a heart for serving the community, he built a trusted foundation that has supported families and their pets for over three decades. In 2018, his son, Dr. Ryan Lane, joined the family practice after completing veterinary school, bringing new energy and expertise to the next generation of care.
Recognizing the growing need for large animal and mixed animal services, Dr. Ryan launched Southeastern Veterinary Services in 2021 to meet the needs of both farm and companion animals with the same dedication that has defined their family’s work for years.
Our mission is simple: to provide reliable, compassionate, and professional veterinary care that supports both pets and livestock in living healthy, fulfilling lives.
We take pride in being one of the few remaining family-owned veterinary practices in the region, which allows us to maintain the kind of personal connection and accountability that corporate clinics often lack. Our goal is to ensure that every animal receives the best care possible, while every owner feels valued, heard, and supported.

On-site farm visits for cattle, horses, goats, and other livestock.

Preventive medicine, diagnostics, and treatment for pets and small farm animals.

A unique blend of in-office and mobile services that make quality care accessible to all.
As an extension of Community Animal Hospital, Southeastern Veterinary Services shares resources, staff, and values with its sister clinic. This collaboration allows us to maintain a consistent standard of care, whether we’re treating pets in our office or providing large-animal services on a farm.
Both practices are united by a single mission: to deliver top-quality veterinary care that puts animals and families first.
